The paper mills in Interstate Resources Paper Division produce industry-leading containerboard liner and recycled medium for the corrugated packaging industry, combining that with professional services to ensure customer expectations are not only met but exceeded in all areas.
Our paper mills, Interstate Paper in Riceboro, GA and United Corrstack in Reading, PA, are Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Chain of Custody-certified.
Kraft Linerboard
Our high-performance kraft linerboard is produced with the latest papermaking machine using the strictest environmentally-certified and earth friendly practices.
Our kraft linerboard grades include high performance, high compression grades of 33#, 35#, 47#, 52#, and 55#; but our grade mix also includes 42#, 69#, and 90#.
All grades are available in “Super Smooth” finish for printing and coating. Heavier grades are also available in high bulk for slip sheets, tier sheets, and laminating applications.
Recycled Corrugated Medium
Our recycled medium paper mill will derive 100% of its energy from an alternative energy biomass boiler and steam generator located on site.
Using post-consumer corrugated containers, the paper mill produces one of the finest medium sheets available. Our 100% recycled medium paper includes grades 23#, 26#, 30#, and 33#.
Being a good steward is good business. Reducing water consumption, recovering fiber, recovering and burning Total Reduced Sulfides (TRS), co-generating steam and electricity, recycling pre- and post-consumer corrugated containers, recovering chemicals, and utilizing organics from the process to generate energy not only lowers our carbon footprint but drives inefficiencies out of our processes.
