Jim Morgan
President & Chief Operating Officer (COO)


Jim Morgan, President and COO, joined Interstate Resources, Inc., in February 2007.

Prior to joining Interstate Resources, Jim served concurrently as Executive Vice President of Duro Bag Manufacturing Company and President of Duro Designer LLC for five years. Duro, a family-owned business, is the largest global paper bag manufacturer.

For three years prior to Duro, Jim served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Bay State Paper Company, a recycled packaging material supplier, in which he was a partner with three individuals and Madison Dearborn Partners.

Jim started his career in the paper and packaging business with a nine-year contribution to Gaylord Container Corporation, in positions of increasing responsibility across corporate leadership, mill, sheet feeder and flexible packaging segments.

Before joining this industry, Jim worked with heavy equipment manufacturers Cooper Industries / McGraw-Edison and Rohr Industries / B.F. Goodrich Aerospace, where he focused on Operations and Human Resources.

Jim holds a MS in Industrial Relations and a BS in Economics from West Virginia University.



Pierre Khattar
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


Pierre Khattar joined Interstate Resources, Inc. in 1993.

Pierre held previous positions of increasing responsibilities with INDEVCO Group in the Middle East. He was General Manager of a packaging plant, and then Procurement Vice President of INDEVCO Saudi Joint-Venture immediately preceding his move to Interstate Resources.

Prior to joining INDEVCO, Pierre served as a Senior Auditor for Deloitte and Touche in the Mediterranean region.

Pierre has an MBA in Finance from Sacramento State University, CA, and a BS in Accounting.

Tim Meade
Executive Vice President, Operational Effectiveness

Tim Meade joined Interstate Resources, Inc. in October 2009 as Executive Vice President of Operational Effectiveness.

Prior to joining Interstate Resources, Tim was Caraustar Industries' Vice President of Manufacturing Systems for the Folding Carton, Tube and Core, and Recycled Paperboard Mill Divisions.

Caraustar Industries, privately owned by the Wayzata Group, is the largest recycled paperboard producer in the United States. During his nine years with Caraustar, Tim also served as Vice President and Division Manager for the Tube & Core Group.

Tim Meade - Executive Vice President - Operational Effectiveness

After leaving the Field Artillery Branch of the U.S. Army in 1987, Tim joined International Paper and progressed through a myriad of positions during his 14-year tenure, including Project Engineer, Mill Supervisor, Operations Manager, Mill Manager, Plant Manager, Division Manufacturing Manager, and Division General Manager.

During this time, he gained invaluable experience in several different businesses, including the Wood Products Division, Kraft Packaging Group, Folding Carton and Liquid Packaging Business Groups.

Tim holds an Aerospace Engineering degree from the United Stated Military Academy (USMA) at West Point and an MBA from Colorado State University.



Paul D. Zimmerman
Corporate Controller


Paul Zimmerman manages financial reporting, budgeting and analysis, accounting policy, tax compliance and audit functions at the corporate and affiliate locations for Interstate Resources, Inc.

Before joining Interstate Resources in 2001, Paul worked as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Atlanta, Georgia. His experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer at a large distribution company, as well as a number of finance and accounting positions held during his eleven-year tenure at the Georgia-Pacific Corporation.


Paul holds an MBA in Finance from University of Illinois and a BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.

Roger Malone
Vice President & Mills Sales


Roger Malone joined Interstate Resources, Inc. in 1997. He is responsible for all sales of the Paper Division and for trades and outside purchases of all paper supply to our internal box plants.

A veteran of the forest products industry, Roger spent 13 years with Mead Corporation and 6 years with Georgia-Pacific, prior to joining Interstate Resources.

His career progression includes experience in many disciplines of the forest products business, including business analysis, sales operations, market development, general management, and sales.

Roger has an MBA from Virginia Tech University and a BS in Forest Resource Management with a Business minor from Southern Illinois University.



Susan Newman
Vice President, Human Resources


Susan Newman joined Interstate Resources, Inc. in November 2008.

Susan has more than 22 years of experience in Human Resources within the forest products industry in both paper and packaging manufacturing.

Prior to joining Interstate, Susan served as a Vice President of Human Resources at MeadWestvaco and in other HR roles within Boise Cascade.

Jeff Coleman
Vice President, Key Accounts & Strategic Growth


Jeff Coleman joined Interstate Resources, Inc. in 1992 and, since that time, has steadily moved up within the organization. Prior to joining the group, Jeff was with JSC/CCA for 13 years in sales and sales management.

Jeff serves on the executive boards of United Way of Berks County and Berks County Lacrosse Association. Additionally, he is an Advisory Board Member of the Penn State – Berks Campus Communications Department.

Jeff holds a Bachelors of Liberal Arts in English from Roanoke College.
